“Medicometry: concepts, methods and prospects” |

Born in 1944, Antoine Bailly is professor emeritus of economic geography at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He was a professor in different universities in Canada, France, Portugal and Switzerland. He is the president of the IGU Applied Geography Commission, of the Scientific Committee of the INRA PSDR (France) and of Forum Santé Gesundheit (Switzerland). He has published over 30 books and 300 papers in medicometry, applied geography, economic geography, and regional science. He is the cofounder of regional medicometry. |

David A. Shore, PhD, is an Associate Dean at Harvard University, School of Public Health. He also founded and directs both the Forces of Change Program and the Trust Initiative. He is Executive Director of the Center for Continuing Professional Education at the School. His last main publications are: “The Current State of Trust in the American Healthcare Enterprise: Physicians and Managed Care in Changing Times” (2004), “The Trust Prescription for Healthcare: Building Your Reputation with Consumers” (2005), “Trust Crisis in Healthcare: Causes, Consequences and Cures” (2007). |

Christophe Lecerf first graduated in medicine and psychiatry and, after a few years working as a computer engineer, he focused on research and graduated a PhD in artificial intelligence (computer sciences).
He is professor in computer sciences in an engineer school, the « Ecole des Mines d’Ales ». Most of his work is centered on modelling, particularly about cognition processes and hierarchical complex systems.

Abstract: Using the author's experiences from different fields (health, industry, cognition, computerized modelling, training), different viewpoints about quality will turn up. Some invariant elements, that are believed to be useful in the quality process, will be proposed. Some impacts of these considerations on health systems and on the information systems in health organizations will be discussed. |

Alfred Spira, MD and epidemiologist (PhD) by training, is professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at the School of Medicine of Paris XI University, and head of the department of Public Health and Epidemiology at the Hospital of Bicetre, France. He is currently Chief editor for the “Revue d’Epidemiologie et de Sante Publique” (Epidemiology and Public Health). He is Director of the Paris South School of Public Health and of the French Institute for Public Health Research. |

Jean Calop is 62 years old, he is currently a clinical Professor of pharmacy to the UFR of pharmacy of Grenoble and person in charge for the pole pharmacy with the CHU of Grenoble. He was a vice senior in charge of pedagogy with the UFR of pharmacy of Grenoble from 1994 to 2002 and was interested much in the evolution of the pharmaceutical professional practices at the same time as to the evolution of the methods of teaching (training by resolution of problems, coordinated lesson, training courses of application). |
It chaired of 1993 to 1998 the association of the teachers of clinical pharmacy, taken part during four years in the teaching national commission of the studies of pharmacy; he was Member of the Commission of marketing authorization (AM) of 1992 to 1997 and elected with the academy of pharmacy in 1997. Currently the pole pharmacy is affiliated like laboratory of reception in the group of research themas (technical for the evaluation and the modeling of the actions of health (Laboratories TIMC (Techniques of the imagery of modeling and cognition-Pr J Demongeot UMR Pavillon Taillefer CHU of Grenoble ). It organized the first OF clinical pharmacy in France . He is the author or the joint author of 136 national and or international publications, 128 teaching publications 220 oral or written Communications national and or international. He was a coordinator, author or joint author in 26 works.
